Project |01 HAPPINESS SURGERY

Investigate of how to use different forms to guide audiences to get rid of their uneasy emotions and embarrassed feelings while experiencing the participation design works.

In this project, I have created a scene of surgery by paint illustration and hang on handmade wood shelves on the wall. The contents of my illustration includes a lot of amusing elements, such as anatomy of handsome boy, a visual chart that start with letter “E” and so on. This scene is aim to let audience feel interesting and relax. During the show, I dressed up as a doctor and guide audiences take part in the game of doctor and patient. This project has been shortlisted in the 2013 Design Shanghai Exhibition.

Project |02 BOOK DESIGN OF JOURNAL

This is a book design project of my research journal in 2013. There are 60 pages in total, and 4 chapters, eatch chapter introduced some design or art works that inspired me and my relevent experiments. The propose of this journal is to show to audience the research progress of my final project.

Project |03 P. time VI Design

The classified design is made for products with my personal image and the dinosaurs extinct 65 million years ago and their extinction reasons are the main factors in four colors and four simple icons. The design objects target mostly kids and young people. The design style is full of vitality and interestingness. As the products are made by myself, they are enabled to have greater affinity. The packing design is done makeing substantial use of triangular factors. So as to be full of individuality and make the hollow cut parts of the products distinct. The purport of the design is to expect people to simultaneously think of the seriouseness of species extinction when enjoying these small atricles and induce their awareness of protecting animals and environment.

Project |04 Packing Design for wedding candies

The present packing uses the craft paper as main material. The garland factor is extrated from the baby with grasping puns of the Chinese tradional paper-cutting, having a implied meaning of luck and beauty. Structurally, combing the garland with the modern gift box packing augments the interactivity and interestingness in use.

Project |05 The Container Design of cosmetics vessel

For the container design of the vessels of this series, the organic glass is uesd as the main material and the vessels are made with the made-made pressing film. The half-round transparent bottle body looks pretty and unusual. When it is placed on the table, the problem of the toppling of the body of the cosmetics bottle can be avoided, leaving the liquid inside the bottle seen distinctly. The unique style of the bottle cap coincides with ergonomics, facilitating to open the cap for use. The overall sculpt is simple and in good taste.

Project |06 Packing Design of the Household Articles of the Taking - in Type

The materials used for this series of packing design include hard card paper and glass paper, making the articles distinctly visible. As they are household articles, I employ the design combining the hand-drawing plants with the modern style, thus having more affinity. The structural feature lies in that there are connection points between each group of packing. It is able to fold and assemble at random according to the size of the space for the taking-in purpose. This is a group of packing permitting recycling, which is not only environmentally protective, but also increases the interactivity and interestingness of the people when using the packing, and diminishing the unnecessary wastes.

Project |08 Tibetan Hotel VI Design

The series of card cover design are taken from the six-character mantra of Tibetan Buddhism and six corresponding original colors. The patterns are chosen from the things with greatest characteristics of the Tibetan Nationality represented by the six colors. The attached explanatory introduction will allow the turists to know more about the mysterious Tibetan culture, adding a plesant mind to the trip.

The hand-made furniture of the group are taken from the six original colors represented by the six-character mantra of the Tibetan Buddhism, and the traditional symbols of the Tibetan Nationality- Lucky Knot. The color of the furniture consists of six original colors. Of them, black and white represent Heaven and Earth, so the use scope is larger. Only black and white can be seen when looking down. As a consequence, the implied meanings of the six original colors are blended into the furniture. The inspiration of the sculpt design of the furniture stems from of the ‘ 逕 ‘ character check in the lucky knot. The overall effect is simple, beautiful and easy to use.

Project |09 Kindergarten VI Design

To make the design achieve better teaching effect, interesting patterns are included in the articles that kids are able to contact daily. Moreover, the patterns are marked bilingually: in both Chinese and English.

The bilingual education is fused into every bit of life, facilitating arousing the kids’ interest in a second language, and gradually accepting it to allow them to acquire useful knowledge in a breezy atmosphere. The design idea of the entire set VI is to try to create such an environmental atmosphere.

Project |10 Layout Design of a traditional Paper-cutting Book

This is a collection of the paper-cutting category designed recently by the company where I was working. In the collection are introduced five paper-cutting masters in North Shaanxi of China and their works. In the collection, I was in charged of the layout of the part of ‘ Gao Fenglian’ and the layout and design of the speical chapter of ‘Paper-cutting Chapter’. All illustrations and pictures are my works. The collection is to be published in January next year. The following is part of the layout I have completed.

Project |12 Inforgraphic Design

This project is an inforgraphic design. The topic is about creatures’ vision system. It illustrates different kinds of view scopes from six tipical creatures: human, dog, fly, tiger, shark and eagle. Each of them represents a group of breed.The biggest advantage of inforgraphic design is that all the data and information become more easier to see.
